The new addition to KTM Komuter services is known as MyKomuter was launched by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at KL Sentral. MyKomuter consist of 6 coaches that can accommodate 1,100 passengers in a single journey. Manufactured by China's Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co Ltd, it has facilities such as intercom, LCD information display, two Ladies' Coaches and Priority Seating Zone. In conjunction with the launching and commencement of the new train in service, the Deputy Prime Minister announced that KTMB will give away 100,000 RM2 vouchers to the public. The vouchers are valid for 6 months. For weekly tickets, 50% discount is being offered for those who purchase it. Free rides are offered to the Senior Citizens, Children in school uniforms and OKUs. The weekly tickets and free rides are valid for six month.
